Richard Newman
Richard Newman is an acoustic blues finger picking and slide virtuoso who has worked with many of the leading figures in the British blues and rock scene over the past 30 years. Richard has been teaching guitar in seminars and privately for over 20 years.
Richard is also an established journalist and broadcaster. He wrote and presented his own Channel 4 documentary on blues guitar called Living With The Blues. Richard went on to write the book on the Making of Tubular Bells, the definitive book on one of the biggest selling albums of all time. He has also written books on John Mayall, and the Cambridge Folk Festival. Richard has worked with, played with, produced or rubbed shoulders with many great figures in the history of British rock and blues.
